A new shading solution for your greenhouse. With Optimix® an innovative member of the latest generation of shading paints is being introduced.

To develop Optimix®, Sudlac put the specific demand of the grower together with the knowledge of the horticultural scientist and the technical know-how of suppliers. Optimix® combines a high transmission of diffused light with a reduction of solar energy. But it is more than that: To create the ideal light environment for a plant in general, the McCree curve is taken into account. This curve, that dates from 1972 and has been reproduced quite recently by Wageningen University (NL), shows the efficiency for all wavelengths of the visible light spectrum for the photosynthesis. This is the reason why the transmission spectrum of Optimix® shows a high transmission of blue and red light with a reduction of both green/yellow light and near infrared radiation. Optimix® is intended for cultures that demand high levels of light and need a reduction of solar energy during the summer as well. Examples are light-sensitive crops like sweet pepper, cucumber, certain varieties of tomatoes, and ornamentals that are fond of light…
