Urban food supply and farmer training at the last day of GreenTech

Yesterday marked the opening of GreenTech Amsterdam 2024 at the RAI Convention Centre. With one day to go, topics such as ‘Urban food supply’, ‘Reducing food waste’ and ‘Farmer training’ will be discussed in various knowledge sessions.

Vision Stage:

• Thursday 13 June, 14:00- 15:00hrs: ‘Train the farmer of the future’ moderated Tracy Wilson (NLWorks) and speakers Reinhard Pitchellis (Festo Didactic), Danielle Smits (HAS Hogeschool), Penny McBride (University of California, Agricultural and Natural Resources)

NL Pavilion:

• Thursday 13 June, 13:00- 13:30hrs: Meet and Greet with Kadir van Lohuizen. Kadir explores the world behind our food production with his compelling photographic stories and documentary ‘Food for thought’ that portrays the global food supply chain, showing the challenges and innovations that will determine the future of our food.
