Sow trough and piglet nest close to the aisle

With the launch of its FarrowComfort, Danish company ACO Funki presents a farrowing pen for individual sows, with a sow trough located close to the aisle. This is easy to access for both the sow and the piglets. The pen is very spacious, which is crucial for the sow’s comfort and makes handling the sow easy. 

The design includes adjustable farrowing wings. This allows further customisation and ensures the pen can be individually adapted to each sow, maximising both safety and comfort. The gate is designed so that it can be opened to both sides or removed completely. An important design aspect of the FarrowComfort pen is a clear view of the sow from the aisle, with a lowered area behind the sow. This makes it easier to see whether any assistance is needed at farrowing.
