Today’s technology and data driven growing
The global shift toward Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) is accelerating, driven by environmental concerns and labor shortages. The total acreage in gutter and deep water culture (hydroponic lettuce) is estimated around 2000 hectares and still growing. Crop control is challenging because of the efficient floor space usage which results in difficult access to the crop. Monitoring crop growth and estimating saleable lettuce stock is highly desired by growers.
To address these issues, Corvus Drones developed an innovative drone technology to remotely monitor lettuce crops. The drone flies 100% automatically in the greenhouse, no pilot is needed, and takes frequent pictures of the lettuce. The pictures are processed in the cloud, analyzed by AI powered software and the grower receives near real time accurate insights. This allows growers to monitor for instance gutter alignment, growth and issue detection, and improve efficiency; all with actionable, data-driven insights.
The webinar is organized by Corvus Drones together with the partners Track32, Hortiplan, Cultivators and Letsgrow.com on February 26th, at 15:00 PM CET (Central European Time).
What to expect in the seminar:
This seminar offers growers and also breeders an opportunity to explore practical strategies for enhancing processes and minimizing crop risks in hydroponic lettuce.
