How to Increase Yield by ~20%!

21 February 2025 | Int. Greenhouse Guide | Zayndu Limited

A yield increase of approximately 20% may seem unreal! However, in short- and medium-cycle crops, giving the plant the best possible start can easily increase yield by that much.

Zayndu’s ActivatedAir™ technology does this by enhancing the seed’s capacity to absorb water while optimising its hormone balance to accelerate germination and early-stage growth.

ActivatedAir™-treated seeds have an advantage over untreated or conventionally treated seeds. This leads to faster-growing crops, bigger yields, and a shorter time to the target crop specification.

How it Looks for Us

To demonstrate this, Zayndu’s plant scientists planted 100 treated spinach seeds alongside 100 untreated seeds in soil for careful observation. Throughout their growth, the benefits that the spinach gained from the ActivatedAir™ seed treatment in comparison to the untreated were clear.

Day 4

Day 5

With more emergence on the treated side, the ActivatedAir™ treatment demonstrated its ability to not only enhance seed germination but also ensure a higher success rate.

Day 12

By day 12, the treated batch have displayed a more synchronized emergence, whereas the untreated batch can be seen at different stages of growth.

Day 22 (HARVEST)

And at day 22, the treated spinach looks fuller, giving the impression of a larger yield, as expected.

How it Can Look for You

Upon comparing the two, we witnessed a clear difference in fresh weight between the untreated and treated.

A ~20% increase in yield, as a matter of fact!
