Are you considering switching from HPS to LED lighting? RED Horticulture offers free support to greenhouse growers in 2025 when applying for the Energy Efficiency Greenhouse (EG) subsidy, provided by the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO), the Dutch government agency for entrepreneurs. This governmental support promotes energy-saving investments that contribute to reducing CO₂ emissions and achieving climate goals.
Through this subsidy, entrepreneurs can recover up to 20% of their investment in LED lighting, with a maximum of €500,000. RED Horticulture provides full support: from assessing lighting needs and creating lighting plans, to preparing all required documentation including; quotes for LED fixtures, installation costs and potential consultancy fees.
This support is completely non-binding and free of charge. Additionally, RED Horticulture offers a cancellation clause in case the subsidy is not granted.
Sales Manager Pim Joeloemsingh is optimistic: “We’re not worried. In 2024, we successfully supported dozens of companies with their subsidy applications, all with positive results. At the time, the EG subsidy budget wasn’t even fully used and this year it has been increased to 40 million euros.”
