Wopereis, a household name since 1931

23 April 2025 | Int. Livestockhousing Guide |

Ninety years ago, the Wopereis story began in the Achterhoek village of Mariënvelde. On September 22, 1931, Hendrik Wopereis started an agricultural forge. The forge grew steadily and in the 1960s son Wim Wopereis joined the business. He moved the company from Mariënvelde to Doetinchem in 1978 due to lack of space, where Wopereis became increasingly specialized in complete barn construction.

In addition to the agricultural sector, Wopereis also became active in utility construction and the food processing industry with the realization of complete business premises and production lines.

Nobody could have imagined ninety years ago that the forge of the time would grow into an internationally operating total supplier, active in many different sectors.
