In Pádpuszta, a large-scale expansion is underway at an existing sow facility. The project includes a farrowing unit with 600 pens (approx. 4,000 m²) and a gestation unit for approx. 3,000 sows (approx. 8,800 m²).
Both barns are designed according to the modern Genugten Agri concept, with a strong focus on daylight, ventilation and long-term sustainability.
With ceiling heights over 3.5 meters and ventilation ceilings made of wood wool cement boards, the barn climate is optimised. Skylights bring in natural daylight, improving both animal welfare and working conditions.

Future requirements are already taken into account, with space reserved for air scrubbers, integrated air inlets and pad-cooling systems – all contributing to emission reduction and summer comfort.
A great example of how smart design and innovative techniques come together in the sow farming of tomorrow.
