With almost 60 years of experience in the production of fibreglass laminates in rolls and sheets, Brianza Plastica has expanded its offer with the Elysol compact polycarbonate sheet, which is completely transparent and extremely attractive.
This new product allows Brianza Plastica’s range of solutions for lightweight roofing to meet any roofing or cladding requirement with versatility, from industrial and commercial buildings to agricultural buildings and DIY projects.

The Elysol high-quality compact polycarbonate sheets, produced in Italy in the Brianza Plastica factory of Ferrandina (Matera), are extremely lightweight and completely transparent, similar to glass. This ensures a very elegant aesthetic effect. The outer surface is UV-protected, impact-resistant and with good reaction to fire (Class B-s1, d0). The Elysol polycarbonate sheets can be used in architectural, industrial and agricultural applications, both as roofing and vertical cladding, where natural light plays a key functional and aesthetic role. Available in ribbed or corrugated profile, the sheets are versatile, impact-resistant, and weather-resistant, while their low weight makes them ideal for lightweight structures.
For projects that require particularly high mechanical resistance, the Brianza Plastica range includes Elyplast fibreglass laminates with glass-fibre reinforcement: they offer tested and reliable roofing solutions, also in alternation with the opaque Elyonda version, for skylights and vertical curtain walls.
Versatile and lightweight: extremely easy to install
The ease of application and manoeuvrability of Elysol sheets simplify the installation process and make them perfect even for DIY projects. Elysol sheets are lightweight and easy to handle and work, perfect for a wide variety of uses. They provide pleasant natural lighting for greenhouses, canopies, verandas, covered walkways. Installation is easy using common tools: the cutting operations can be carried out with an angle grinder with a thin metal disc, small-tooth circular saw, jigsaw or shears, and a drill is recommended for drilling the holes for the screws. The holes are drilled at the top of the wave or frieze and must be 3 mm larger than the diameter of the screws to compensate for expansion of the sheet. When laying the sheets, always work from the bottom upwards and in the opposite direction to the prevailing winds. Please note that the Elysol sheets cannot be walked on.
