Van der Ende Groep has been nominated for the GreenTech Concept Award 2021 with the new Nitrate Recovery system. The products that are eligible for this Award are seen as products with progressive technology, in line with the trends in the market, and with the most potential to have a successful market introduction within two years.
The winner will be announced on Tuesday 28 September during the opening of the GreenTech Live & Online in the Amsterdam RAI.
Nitrate Recovery
Van der Ende Groep has developed a solution for recovering nitrate from the effluent stream. The development of the Nitrate Recovery therefore targets the problems relating to nitrogen emission. More stringent laws and regulations are making it more challenging for growers to comply with the standards. Nitrate recovery is a solution for growers to reduce nitrate emission and save on their nutrients. Van der Ende Groep: “By making smart use of a specific resin, we can recover nitrate as a nutrient by means of ion exchange.”
This innovation makes an important contribution to solving the current (global) nitrogen problem. It will help to improve the living environment by reducing the amount of nitrogen in the ecosystem. The system therefore contributes to sustainable growing.
