ANDRITZ ADuro U Shredder.
Efficient, clean, and versatile: The ADuro U Shredder belongs to ANDRITZ portfolio for the raw materials preparation in the Wood Fiber Substrate Production.
As Product Manager at ANDRITZ Recycling, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with the ADuro U shredder – a machine that continues to impress with its performance and adaptability. Designed for one-step processing of wood and biomass materials, the ADuro U is a powerful single-shaft shredder capable of reducing even bulky input like logs up to 2 meters length (and up to 6 meters length in combination with the tilting table) down to particle sizes from 10 to 150 mm, according to the installed screens for the requested needs.

What makes the ADuro U stand out in the substrate and compost industries is its ability to handle a wide range of wood types and dimensions – we processed leftovers from sawmills, compost wood and also stumps and residuals from peat harvesting. The adjustable screening system and innovative pendulum pusher allow precise control of throughput and energy consumption, ensuring consistent output quality and operational efficiency.
In recent time, we’ve seen growing interest from substrate producers who value the ADuro U’s clean-cut output and maintenance-friendly design contributing to a safer and cleaner working environment. Its robust built and smart touchscreen is a useful asset for user-friendly operation activities.

Whether you’re processing virgin wood, recycled biomass, oversized compost wood, or wood wastes and residuals from different origins, the ADuro U delivers reliable results making it a key asset for sustainable substrate production.
I personally see great potential for the utilization of this outstanding machine also in this sector.
