TVU Garnvertrieb GmbH, based in Leutershausen, laid the foundation for further compostable products in the greenhouse and tunnel cultivation sector in 2019, with the CompoPac cellulose net and thus a sustainable packaging solution for fruit and vegetable cultivation.
The development of the cellulose climbing aids was the result of an intensive and long-term cooperations with the growers. They contributed their expertise and shared all their needs which enabled a detailed work on the different twines. The strings are made from 100% cellulose and offer an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic. Their strength is adapted to the requirements of different plant cultures and specialized on each different crop, providing optimum support for both light and heavy plants. A great advantage is that the strings can be composed together with the plant residues, which simplifies the disposal process for growers and saves costs.
TVU is able to offer high-quality products with short delivery times thanks to its in-house production and expertise in yarn production as well as its extensive test laboratory. Another important aspect is the company’s service orientation, which is characterized by flexibility and direct customer contact. The products can be individually tailored to the customer’s needs, either climbing aids shaped on rolls or your certain twine length on ready to hang tomato hooks with or without freefall.
