Substrates & fertilizers
Humko company is specialised in substrate production especialy in mineral-zeolite substrates. New line of Humko Vulkahum substrates provides adequate substrates for inside or outside growing, for ornamental or vegetable plants. High content of mineral components provide good water permeability, high water and nutrition bufer with constant pH-value. For best growing result we use only the best Scotts – Everris fertilizers. For vegetable growing panels we supply organic solid and liquid fertilizers from hidrolised kolagens, dried chicken manure and humin acids from leonardites.
Youngplants
We supply different programs of youngplants for ASCON & EKENS green walls:
– The best high class planting is provide from renomated companies Kientzler, Selecta, All Plants and some other perennial specialists.
– Standard planting consist of common perennials well known in green wall planting.
– Hardy planting stays for sukulent and hardy plants which have low maintanance demand like Sedum sp., Thymus sp., Sempervivum sp. and similar.
– Herbs and aromated plants are specialy sorted for special planting with aroma effect.
– Vegetable plants can be localy delivered concerning seasonal planting.
Water
Water is the most esential element in ASKON & EKENS green walls.
– Tap, rainwater, underground or grey water can be used for irrigation the plants via driping system.
– Underground water can be used for heating/cooling the facade and plants root system. At the same time
building is insulated from outside climate conditions.
Grey water can be purified through the mineral substrate with zeolites. Plants are asimilating Nitrogen from the water which is circulating through the wall. Rainfalls have no effect on the water bilance of the green wall.
