Digital solutions for farm management and quality assurance

5 December 2024 | Int. Livestockhousing Guide |

Climate computers, lighting, fans, feeding systems, numerous technical equipment on contemporary farms has to be monitored constantly. In practice, these are often stand-alone solutions from different manufacturers, which often implies a separate control system for each device. To link these separate systems, Lock Antriebstechnik GmbH presents its SBE system that for the first time offers an all-encompassing, modular solution with immense expansion potential.

The system uses a large number of sensors to precisely monitor the current ambient conditions in buildings. Ventilation systems, lighting, fans and humidity become available as “bricks” and can be controlled conveniently using the LOCK SBE app on a PC, smartphone or tablet, independent of location or platform. The intelligent system can act independently and make recommendations for manual control.

The SBE system offers farmers a smart solution that optimises operational management and significantly boosts efficiency. Reduced physical monitoring and automatic documentation ease the workload of farm managers and optimised environmental conditions for the livestock improve animal welfare.
