International interest for HortiContact Tour 2019 from Germany, Mexico, Iran, Azerbaijan, Qatar and Brazil

GORINCHEM – The preliminary registrations for the HortiContact Tour (19 and 20 February 2019) show that international growers around the world travel to the Netherlands to become acquainted with the latest developments in Dutch greenhouse horticulture. Over the past period, the organization received registrations of international growers from Germany, Mexico, Iran, Azerbaijan, Qatar and Brazil. It is still possible to attend this two-day excursion.

The HortiContact Tour is being offered for the third year in a row by the HortiContact trade fair organization (19 – 21 February 2019 at Evenementenhal Gorinchem), Uniglobe Westland Business Travel and In Greenhouses magazine. Thanks to the support of sponsors (Ludvig Svensson B.V., Priva Horticulture B.V., Mardenkro B.V., KUBO Group, Codema Systems Group and Rockwool B.V.) participation in the HortiContact Tour is free. International growers need to arrange their trip to the Netherlands and accommodations themselves.

The first stop is at 9.00 AM at rose grower Marjoland in Waddinxveen. This is followed by a visit to Wageningen University & Research business unit Greenhouse Horticulture and Delphy Improvement Centre in Bleiswijk. After a lunch, the excursion consists of practical visits to Anthura, breeder and propagation of orchid and anthurium in Bleiswijk and pepper grower Oostland Company in Berkel en Rodenrijs.
