IRISS Defects: Advanced AI-support for perfect rose quality sorting

The IRISS vision system has long ensured uniform sorting of roses and hydrangeas. With the new ‘IRISS Defects’ module, an extension for ‘IRISS Roses’,  roses with imperfections such as mildew, ball centers, crooked stems, and bent necks can now be processed automatically. This eliminates reliance on human interpretation, ensuring consistent quality throughout the day: Quality inspected by IRISS!

IRISS Defects leverages Deep learning. 4MT provides the system with images of roses showing various defects, labeling them accordingly. The system learns to recognize patterns in these defects and trains itself to detect them, even when their appearance differs.

Vision and machine learning specialist 4MT provides growers with optimalisation of their processing process with machines, automation and robotics.
