Ziehl-Abegg Executive Receives “Certification Champion Ventilation” Award at Eurovent Summit 2025 in Prague
Jürgen Albig, Global President of the Ventilation Division at Ziehl-Abegg, has been awarded the prestigious “Legends of Eurovent” industry accolade in the category Certification Champion Ventilation. The recognition was presented during the Eurovent Summit 2025 in Prague, honouring his decades-long dedication to establishing reliable certification standards across the European and international ventilation markets.
With this award, Eurovent recognises a key figure in the global ventilation industry: Jürgen Albig has played a leading role in shaping and aligning international certification frameworks. His sustained efforts to promote transparency and comparability in fan performance have significantly contributed to raising industry standards.
“He is the driving force behind the transatlantic cooperation between the European Eurovent association and the American AMCA organisation,” stated Sylvain Courtey, President of Eurovent Certita Certification, during the award ceremony. “His focus on advancing joint certification standards for fans represents a milestone for the entire sector.”
With over 40 years of experience in the development and manufacturing of ventilation systems, Albig oversees Ziehl-Abegg’s global ventilation product portfolio. Beyond his role at the company, he actively contributes to numerous technical committees and associations at both European and international levels. He currently serves on the board of the Air Movement and Control Association International (AMCA) as well as the European Ventilation Industry Association (EVIA).
