GE Current, a Daintree company enables greenhouse growers and indoor farm operators to deploy sustainable, reliable lighting and control solutions to maximise productivity and optimise cost of ownership. As more growers investigate the transition from traditional HPS systems to high-efficiency horticultural LED solutions, the new-generation Arize® Element L1000 offers an easy and effective 1:1 replacement for traditional 1000W HPS fixtures.
Engineered for both high-bay and limited height applications, the slimline design reduces shading and the L1000 can be mounted alongside or immediately below the driver for fast, simple installation. A state-of-the-art, sloping heat sink passively cools each fixture and prevents build-up of dust and debris, easing maintenance overheads and labour costs to support a long 50,000hr L90 lifespan, backed by Current’s market-leading five-year warranty. An IP66 rating also provides further peace of mind when using the fixture in wet or humid conditions. Maintenance costs and operational downtime is reduced and replacement cycles can also be significantly extended compared with legacy systems.
The L1000 delivers a high photon flux (PPF) output of up to 2350 µmol/s, with high efficacy of up to 3.6 µmol/J. With eight tailored spectrums designed to optimise the growth cycles of different crops and achieve a variety of yield objectives, growers can ensure consistent, high-quality harvests all year-round. The L1000 also offers 0-10V dimming, allowing growers to further tailor the lighting to their crop at every stage of growth, nurturing young plants to maturity and reducing energy consumption and costs.
Thanks to Current’s patented XW Optic, light is distributed uniformly across a wider area. This reduces the number of fixtures required to cover a growing space by up to 15%, reducing capital expenditure, accelerating installation and reducing landfill waste when it comes to renewing the system at end of life.
