Nonslip solution for slatted floors with Vermot

Unlike with standard concrete grooving, carbide tips cannot be used for slats since they would chip the edges. Fortunately, we have developed a specialist machine that uses diamond blades for precision groove cutting.

The advantages of grate grooving
A non-slip solution that is cheaper and more effective than fitting a rubber mat or flame treatment. This is THE grooving solution for slats. The benefits :

  • Animals have as little disturbance as possible
  • The structure of the grooved slats retains its strength
  • The grooving is guaranteed for between 10 and 20 years

Technical specifications
Diamond blades operating at 2500 RPM cut grooves 4 to 5 mm deep and 12 mm wide, spaced 27 mm apart. Self-propelled machine is used to ensure a consistent finish. The machine’s weight is spread across 6 stub axles. We also have a compact, lighter machine for projects involving non-load-bearing slats.
