On September 5th, Harmoniz, HortiTech, and Metazet will jointly opened the new R&D Centre PROOF in Honselersdijk. PROOF is a modern greenhouse focused on research, development, and demonstration of innovative cultivation methods and technologies. With the opening of PROOF, the three horticultural specialists take an important step towards a more sustainable and efficient future for the sector.
PROOF is more than just a greenhouse; it is a space for experimentation, innovation, and knowledge sharing. The facility offers startups, innovators, and established companies the opportunity to test and refine new ideas in practice. With 21 greenhouse units, ranging from 150 to 1200 m², there is plenty of space for custom projects.
“PROOF offers a unique opportunity to accelerate innovations in horticulture and bring them directly into practice,” says Luke van Adrichem of Metazet. “By combining the strengths of HortiTech, Harmoniz, and Metazet, we create an environment where innovation, sustainability, and practical applications come together to transform the future of horticulture. All three companies operate independently, but within PROOF we come together at one research location.” The greenhouse is fully sustainably designed, with energy supplied by a CHP system and 400 solar panels. Additionally, there is an OCAP CO2 connection to support sustainable cultivation.
