Optimal cleaning of milking equipment

19 February 2025 | Int. Livestockhousing Guide |

Performing frequent and labour intensive manual cleaning is not always possible. Laktowash offers the ideal solution. Laktowash is a cleaning unit for mobile (bucket) milking systems that thoroughly and effectively cleans all surfaces that come into contact with milk. The mobile milking unit is connected for cleaning to the Laktowash using a simple adapter on the lid of the bucket.

The vacuum pump in the milking unit creates the necessary turbulence, while Laktowash performs a preset cleaning and disinfection cycle according to the correct standards to ensure milking clusters and milk cans are meticulously cleaned.

Laktowash collects and drains the remaining fluid in the bucket at the end of each washing cycle. The intensive cleaning prevents infections and keeps the udder healthy, as well as reducing labour and saving time.

The system is also sustainable as energy and water consumption are regulated by the pre-specified water cycle.
