At Gonvarri AgroTech, we are committed to innovation as a tool to transform agriculture toward more sustainable and efficient models. From our R&D team, in collaboration with Gonvarri Metal Structures R&D, we are working on the FLORA project, which aims to develop solutions that help reduce energy consumption in greenhouses.
One of the first results of this project is PASSIFLORA, a tool developed together with Solkeys that allows the simulation of the impact of shadows cast by photovoltaic installations on crops.
Thanks to its ability to configure greenhouse geometries and module layouts, PASSIFLORA makes it possible to evaluate different coverage scenarios and shading patterns, becoming a key resource for the preliminary design of agrivoltaic systems that ensure high levels of agricultural productivity.
This tool represents a significant step forward in integrating renewable energy generation with agricultural production, demonstrating how technology can support decision-making and optimize the design of sustainable projects.
The FLORA project is co-financed by the Sekuens Agency.
At Gonvarri AgroTech, we believe that innovation must serve agriculture that is more resilient, efficient, and environmentally responsible.
