PolAIR high-pressure fog system

27 November 2024 | Int. Livestockhousing Guide |

The PolAIR high-pressure fog system atomises water into micron-sized particles that quickly evaporate and reduce the temperature. This evaporative cooling process removes heat from the air due to the evaporation of water. The droplets increase the relative humidity and suppress airborne contaminants. The PolAIR system is ideal to effectively regulate the temperature and relative humidity in animal houses and greenhouses. The unique VAL-CO PolAIR fog nozzle is completely made from stainless stell and produces extremely fine particles that flash evaporate, cooling the air without contacting the ground. PolAIR is renowned for its incredible reliability and years of problem-free operation with minimum maintenance. The system has an operating pressure of 1000 psi (70 bar) with an average droplet size of 5-10 microns.

At these pressures, the PolAIR atomises 5.3 litres of water an hour and 2.5-4.0 g of moisture per cubic metre of air. All systems are individually configured and dimensioned to suit the specific situation. Nozzles produce the finest fog for the most effective cooling results. Increases the relative humidity and suppresses airborne contaminants. Operating pressure of 1000 psi (70 bar).
