At Green Gas & Liquids, we’re on a mission to make the world healthier, safer, and cleaner with our innovative decarbonization technologies. While we’re a young Dutch company founded in 2022, our roots trace back to 1984 with Frames B.V., a renowned name in energy solutions. Over the years, Frames evolved into renewable energy solutions, including carbon capture and biogas treatment. Today, Green Gas & Liquids continues this legacy, offering cutting-edge solutions tailored to nonpetrochemical industries like horticulture.
Carbon Capture for a Sustainable Horticulture Sector
The horticulture industry faces two simultaneous challenges: managing CO2 emissions and ensuring a steady supply of CO2 for plant growth. Our proprietary Galloxol® Technology bridges this gap by capturing CO2 from energy sources such as CHP, biomass boilers, and geothermal plants, etc. The captured CO2 can be directly utilized in greenhouses to boost yield or repurposed for other uses like food and beverage production, dry ice, or even permanent CO2 storage.
Unlike traditional amine-based carbon capture systems, Galloxol® uses an environmentally friendly, biodegradable solvent. This means:
Proven Operational Results
Since 2019, multiple successful projects has been delivered across Europe, proving the reliability and effectiveness of the Galloxol® system:
We are currently working on a landmark project for Merschl Gartenbau GmbH in Vienna, integrating Galloxol® with a biomass boiler to capture CO2 and reduce dependency on natural gas and liquid CO2. The system will be operational by the end of 2025.
Empowering Greenhouses Amid Energy Challenges
Rising energy costs and fluctuating liquid CO2 prices are key concerns for greenhouse growers. With Galloxol®, growers can achieve greater independence from external suppliers while lowering emissions and energy consumption. Additionally, we work with various energy providers, ensuring seamless integration with your existing setup.
