Emmeloord, 17 March 2025 – SMT Netherlands (‘SMT’), a leading full-service distribution company and exclusive importer of Volvo Construction Equipment and Sennebogen, has reached an agreement to acquire the Pols Group, a specialist in turf care, tractors, recycling technology and suction excavators. This strategic acquisition will allow SMT to strengthen its market position and further expand its product range.
The acquisition, which still requires approval from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM), is expected to be finalized in June 2025. The acquisition involves the transfer of the activities of Pols companies to SMT. This means an expansion of SMT’s portfolio with renowned brands such as Doppstadt, Keestrack, RSP, SENRO, SBM and various brands in turf care, including Kioti, Jacobsen, Ransomes en LM Trac.
Integrated solutions and growth
Pols and SMT are joining forces through this prospective acquisition. Combining their expertise and product ranges will enable them to offer integrated solutions in the fields of ground-suction technology, recycling and compacting/green technology.
The professional dealer network and proprietary branches in strategic locations in Zuidland, Nieuwkuijk and Emmeloord will enable further optimisation and growth of the range of services. This collaboration also opens up many opportunities for offering integrated pay-per-use rental solutions for various segments.
