TAPKIT hydroponic systems celebrate 2 years since the launching of its first unit in Israel, with the completion of installation of it 35th unit worldwide. 20 of them since October 20.
TAPKIT is a 500m2 tunnel with hydroponic system that can produce 125,000 heads every year or 250,000 bunches of fresh herbs. The annual revenue that it generates is 100-200,000 Euro and the ROI is 2-3 years.
The process was quite surprising. After the first launching in Israel, first orders, the first orders came for abroad, S. Korea, the Philippines and Mauritius.
TAPKIT team had to develop solutions for tropical weather as well as for cold climate.
At the same time, a mobile app, with growing support system, was developed, based on 20 years of experience in hydroponics.
2020 started with few orders, while the covid-19 started, forcing TAPKIT team to develop the ability to install and train its clients by remote support, as orders kept on from the Philippines, Aruba Islands, Switzerland and the USA.
In addition, the increase of demand for clean produce of hydroponic systems, pushed the sales and installations of TAPKITs in Israel.
The TAPKIT enjoy wide range of very different clients. Farms who found new direction, hi-tech workers who quit their jobs to make change in their life, retired couple, who wanted to have a nice and easy to operate business, 2 units are operated by women, schools, resorts in touristic islands, show that TAPKIT can answer the needs of many types of clients.
The next step is to look for distributors and agents worldwide, to answer the growing demand for simple yet advances and affordable hydroponic business, with good return.
