Thermeta – Steam heater

1 October 2013 | Int. Greenhouse Guide |

Thermeta, which has almost 50 years of experience in industry, utility and greenhouse farming, delivers steam heaters for low-pressure steam boilers with a capacity of 800 kg to 12.800 kg steam per hour. A steam heater can bring low-pressure steam to a temperature that usually can only be achieved with a high-pressure steam boiler. The temperature of the overheated, dry steam can be adjusted to the required value by means of a PLC in the control panel. In practice, the steam temperature is brought to about 150 °C, dependent on the distances to be bridged and the application. At this temperature the steam is completely dry and therefore no water will condensate in the transport pipe, thus limiting the loss of energy.

–  A steam heater improves the steam quality.
–  Reduced loss of energy in the transport pipes because no water from the steam condensates on the wall.
As a matter of fact, a lot of energy is lost in the transmission from water vapour to water. More energy is maintained in the steam by preventing this.
–  Larger distances can be bridged without the steam directly loosing its power.
–  Time savings of 20% because of the dry and hot steam.
–  Cost savings as the entire steam process requires less energy. The main burner is active for a shorter
time, while the steam heater uses only a fraction of the gas the main burner uses.
–  Cost savings when no separate steam boiler is to be rented for steaming. The steam heater exclusively
works with a boiler that is suitable for steaming. The steam heater is an addition to your existing steam boiler.
–  Suitable for burning gas or oil.
–  Fully pre-wired, including all safety devices.
–  Available in a lying and a standing model.
