In the WUR location Bleiswijk we contribute to a program to show how we can minimize energy use in the greenhouse. Nutrient use is an important part of this. With CE-Line we can reduce the fertilizer use since we know exactly what is returning to the water management system, while we same time see immediately if there is any deficits or overshoots in the dosing to the crop. For sensitive Gerbera that is a must.
The WUR did do long time research with us in previous years. The placement of the unit now is marking the success we had in developing this together. The specific use at this location will teach us also how autonomous growing a crop can be realized. CE-Line measures and delivers data so fast we can adjust the nutrient dosing compared to a growth plan on nutrient specific level on a daily basis. We also get more information on the effect of several water treatment systems like ozon on the nutrient base.
