MetaFIT: Connecting heating pipes without welding

15 January 2024 | Int. Greenhouse Guide | Metazet

MetaFIT, a groundbreaking solution introduced by Metazet, was developed in response to the global challenge of finding skilled welders, specifically targeting heating installers in horticulture. Originally, the goal was to provide a practical solution for this specific professional group, given the increasing difficulty worldwide in finding qualified welders essential for installing heating systems in the horticultural sector.

MetaFIT’s innovation transforms the traditional construction trajectory by offering the ability to connect heating pipes without prior welding. This is particularly useful for heating installations in horticulture, where flexibility and efficiency are crucial. The conicity employed by MetaFIT ensures a strong and waterproof connection, with load tests demonstrating its effectiveness equivalent to traditional welding.

Initially designed for pipes with a diameter of 51 mm, MetaFIT is now also available for pipes with a diameter of 63.5 mm, and the system can be easily adapted for both larger and smaller pipe diameters. The versatility of MetaFIT makes it an ideal solution for heating installers in horticulture, allowing them to seamlessly integrate it into existing heating systems for a smooth and efficient installation process.
