Degramec aims to reduce the labour-intensive task of moving conveyors during packing.
For many nurseries, conveyors play an essential role in internal transport. After potting, the plants move along conveyors into the greenhouse or outside do be put on the ground. Later, they might get trimmed along the conveyors and spacened in another bay. Both fixed conveyors as well as coupling conveyors do these tasks excellent.
It becomes a lot more difficult when packing orders, as many companies need to sort the best plants out at the beginning of the season. Often mixes are made, so a lot of flexibility is needed. This is something that fixed conveyors can achieve, but for many companies the investment is too high and the use throughout the year too little.
For many activities, an economic and easy to move conveyor is needed. Degramec developed the Rollo exactly for this reason. The idea is simple, when you don’t need the conveyor, you roll it up. You can move the entire conveyor in a unit about 1,5 m long to the desired place. On the path, it gets fixed in the concrete. An end piece with return roll is fixed to the wall or floor. Depending on the load, support rolls are placed on the ground to minimize friction. Then the conveyor belt can be unrolled.
As with all Degramec products, it is fully customizable. Depending on the type of floor, bed lengths and pot or tray sizes a design is made. Various designs are possible depending on whether there’s a main conveyor or not. The conveyor can move both ways, if desired.
Maintenance is limited, because there are only few moving parts. All in all, the Rollo offers a very flexible conveyor at a competitive price point.
