The use of individual LED drivers in large greenhouses is not efficient

The use of individual LED drivers in large greenhouses is not efficient. The added complexity of individual control systems on each fixture and the additional cabling required adds to the installation costs.  Furthermore, the additional air conditioning needed to remove the collective heat losses from individual drivers adds to growers’ energy costs. Using a large centralized current source outside the environmentally controlled growth areas and distributing power directly to all the fixtures can help significantly lower installation, retrofitting and running costs.
